Loan Enquiries

The collections of Art and Everyday Culture of the GDR are dedicated to the general public. Thus, in addition to preserving objects, their historical contextualisation and availability in public discourse are key elements of our work. This includes developing our own exhibitions and projects, as well as making our services and our own collections available to colleagues, including the loan of items from the collection to external exhibition projects.

We look forward to your loan enquiries! These should be made at least four months before the planned loan period. Please briefly state the following points in your enquiry: exhibition concept, description of your institution and the exhibition conditions.

We will send potential borrowers a reply after a short period of internal consideration.
